Priestly Ordination at Basilica

May 30, 2025, Bishop Barron ordained three young men to the priesthood. We are overjoyed to welcome Father Tim Welch, Father Jordan Danielson and Father Benjamin Peters to our diocese!! Please pray for these men as they begin their ministry in the Diocese of Winona Rochester and please pray for many more men to be brought into formation in our diocese.

Deacon Green Celebrates 25th Anniversary of Ordination

We celebrated Deacon Green's 25th on Saturday April 5th after the 4:00 Mass with pizza and cake and a warm crowd of parishioners. Deaon wrote:

I am very grateful to everyone in teh parish for the great party to celebrate the 25th anniversary of my ordination. When did I come to St. Stanislaus? On August 6, 2005. And it has been a very happy and very productive time since then. Thanks to Father Arens for making my ministry with him in the parishes a very positive experience, to the Parish Council that sponsored the party, to Paula Beier, Chair, and the many people who helped her. Ordination at Basilica

Basilica will be the site of the next presbyteral ordination on May 30, 2025. Deacons Tim Welch, Benjamin Peters, and Jordan Danielson will be ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Barron. Basilica will need many hands on duty to volunteer for a variety of roles including hopspitality, greeting, ushers and church cleaning. On June 8th 2024 Bishop Robert Barron ordained three young men to the priesthood. It was an honor for the Diocese to hold the ordination here and many parishioners of Basilica and St. John dedicated their effort to welcoming and hospitality to visitors from around the Diocese, State, country and continent. Congratulations Fathers Nicholas Gawarecki, Joshua Miller, and Brian Klein.

Fr. Arens gives a blessing

Three young priests (Fr. Brian Klein, Fr. Nicholas Gawarecki, Fr. Joshua Miller) were ordained By Bishop Barron on June 8th at Basilica. A great and grand day it was. Above is picutured is our Rector, Fr. Patrick Arens giving his blessing to newly ordained Father Nicholas Gawarecki. Each of the new priests was blessed by each of the some 60 priests present at the ordination.

With the ordination of three new transitional deacons two weeks prior, we expect another ordination of priests next spring. Perhaps Basilica again will have the honor of hosting an ordination!
